Abstract |
Background. The current state of law-enforcement is characterized by a variety of different trends. Not an exception is the penal system of Russia, which is current-ly at the stage of reform, entailing a concentration in correctional institutions of convicted persons, who have sustained criminal aspirations, demonstrating a profound social neglect. Such state of affairs determines special requirements for employees of operational units of correctional institutions, which bear the primary law-enforcement function. The purpose of the work is to substantiate the need to form professionally significant pedagogical qualities of operating officers of the penal system on the basis of the analysis of contemporary statistical data. |
